50! Wow!
Only 2 more weeks until my baby girl is offcially not a baby anymore!
Although, Thomas and I were talking yesterday about how much of a child she is now rather than a baby! It's amazing and terrifying at the same time!! The emotions wrapped up in being a parent realllly are so intense and complex! On one hand I am so thrilled with every milestone and really do cherish the person she becomes with every new month! But on the other hand I find myself missing who she was in the months before. It's bizzarre and I will never understand it [or try to understand it]! I'm just thankful I get to experience it at all! And, with such an amazing daughter:)
Anywho... sorry for the sappy sappy stuff! But I have to throw it in every now and then!
Lily has been a trooper this week! She is still knawing on everything in sight trying to cut those two top teeth. Nothing yet. Just a slight fever to show for it!
She's had a bit of a diaper rash since Saturday. I noticed that the utter ointment wasn't clearing it up like it normally would and that the rash seemed to be getting more intense. So I sent a picture to a friend of mine and she thinks it's a yeast rash so I borrowed some ointment from her and hopefully it will clear up in the next day or so! But tongiht I let her crawl around naked tonight after her bath to "air out" a little! She loved it! She was so excited and kept grabbing her pajamas off the table and throwing them around! She liked being a free baby for a little while! And she didn't even make any messes:)
A few things we noticed this week are that she is starting to stand up the majority of the time. As soon as she crawls to something she grabs it and stands up with it! She's also walking really well only holding onto one of our hands now. Getting pretty confident on her feet:) And yesterday she was trying to change the channel with her play remote control! It was precious! She crawled over to infront of the TV cabinet, got up on her knees, pointed the remote at the TV and then started flapping her hands and screaming at it when nothing happened! She tried quite a few times before giving up! It was really cute!
The only other thing I have to write about for this week is just how proud I am to be her mother! She really is a great baby [hey, I've got 2 more weeks to call her that!] very well behaved in public and usually just sooo very happy in general! We took her to Chili's today and there was a table full of HEATHENS next to us lol! Thomas was pretty upset and Lily l o v e d it! I was just praying the whole time that she never acts like that! ...That WE never LET HER act like that! I'm pretty confident that we won't have either of those problems;) We'll see though!
