Six Months and One Week Old!
Obvious this was a big week for Lily since her first tooth broke through on Wednesday! But it was a toughie for Mom and Dad!
She was soooo unhappy those last few days before the tooth popped out:( But she has been doing great ever since!
[I won't get tooo far into that since technically that's all info for next week!]
Heather's parents and sister, Hunter came for a visit over the weekend! They just couldn't stay away any longer and had to come up to see miss Lily after 3 longggg weeks!
Lily is definitely attached to her Momma! She is starting to be shy around strangers and didn't really know what to think of everyone paying soooo much attention to her all the time!
She is sitting up completely unaccompanied now and rarely falls over! She is raking toys towards her and can pick them up and stick them straight into her mouth! It's pretty amazing to see how determined she is! And she is handling it all very well! If she can't pick something up or reach something she doesn't give up and throw a fit... she just keeps trying!
She is eating a ton these days! A whole thing of fruit and oatmeal for breakfast and then a whole thing of veggies and oatmeal for dinner... with Sweet Potato Puffs now as well! She didn't like them at first but after the first night she realized that she had to chew them and loves them now! I can't get the food in her mouth fast enough!
We've really enjoyed having Thomas home for such a long stretch of time and have just been spending a lot of time around the house with each other! He is working on school, trying to get as much done as he can before his next deployment! And I have been trying to keep up with all of my free photo shoots! Lily is such an amazing joy in our lives! No matter how far I fall behind in editing it's worth it just to play with her on the floor for a little while longer!
She is such a beautiful, healthy, happy baby! PRAISE GOD!

*!*SIX MONTHS OLD*!*
Ok. I had big plans for these pictures! I was going to give them some texture and a few other things! But nothing I tried worked for me so I decided to just keep them simple! I mean, these are pictures of Lillian!... they don't need anything extra to be beautiful! So here they are. {Again} straight from my camera and adjusted in ACR! I might come back in a few weeks and post some edits of them if I get any inspiration!
She's growing so fast! Enjoy them <3.

Twenty-six Weeks Old!
Wow! Twenty-six weeks! That is officially half of a year! She will be 6 months old on Friday! It's just so amazing how fast that went!
This week was a good one! She is teething like crazy and I think I can already tell which tooth is going to come in first! [Vote over on the right and we'll see if you are right!!]
She has been waking up twice after she goes to bed a little after 8:00. Usually once around midnight and then again around 4:00 in the morning! I called my mom and she said to up her solids. So now she's getting rice cereal and fruit mixed for breakfast, nursing and drinking water throughout the day and then getting a vegetable at dinner time! Yesterday was the first day of that and she only woke up once last night! But she only had half of the vegetable... tonight she ate all of her breakfast and had a whole thing of squash before bed! So I have my fingers crossed that she'll sleep all of the way through!
I posted some videos earlier this week of her "scooting"! They don't do her any justice at all! She is doing really great! Loves being on her tummy and moves all over the rug and then will flip over and play even longer on her back! She is reaching and rolling for things so well now too!
She was in her jumper-roo today for a while and started bouncing for the first [real.intentional] time! It was pretty neat! She seemed really proud of herself when I started gushing all over her about what a big girl she was! And she twirled and swung herself in her Johnny Jumper tonight while I was making dinner! It's crazy how capable she is becoming!
She moved up in diapers! She is now in size 3 diapers! Which, in Pampers, she has moved out of the "Swaddlers" and into the "Cruisers"!! That about broke my heart! My child can not possibly be old enough to be a cruiser! But I'm sure she'll be cruisin' soon! [Too soon:(]
It hit me this week that she is totally out of that "eat/sleep/poop" stage of her life! She really needs a lot from me! Attention, stimulation, solids, water, scheduling, etc.! I am really getting into Mommyhood now! And I love it! It scares me to death sometimes though! I'm pretty much convinced that I'm going to kill her somehow!... But once I come to my senses I realize that I'm actually doing a pretty good job and she's actually a pretty great daughter! But I still call my mom a lot to make sure I'm not doing something drastically wrong or completely forgetting something all together! [Thanks mommy!!]
But I do have to say that Lily can be a little evil every now and then! She is very good at letting me know when she isn't happy with something I'm doing/not doing! She has started pulling her paci out of her mouth and throwing it when she is sleepy but doesn't think she's ready to lay down for a nap! And she will be feeding and then take a handful of my breast [so sad that that is even possible these days:( Good-bye firm... Hello flab!] and rip it out of her mouth and then stuff it back in!.. all while screaming at me at the top of her lungs and giving me evil eyes! It's quite a sight!
All in all she is amazing and I love every little part of her so far and know it's only going to get better the more I get to know HER!

Lily's 1st Valentine's Day!!
My parents bought me a few photography related items [:)] for my birthday and I thought Valentine's day was the perrrfect time to try some of them out!
Lily loved her fluffy dress that Daddy picked out for her! She sat and played with it for most of the morning until I finally gave her the [wrapped] heart sucker to pose with! I think she loved it even more than the dress! She was going to town on that thing!

DO YOU WANT PRINTS!?
I've been thinking about this for a little while!
I know you can't get very good prints from the blog since the pictures are resized! So if you want some prints of any of these pictures just go ahead and email me and let me know which pictures and from which week they are posted in!
Now, My computer crashed on New Years and I lost all of the original pictures so I can only offer [good] prints from the pictures after January 1st!! I'll print up to 5 8x10's per household or as many 4x6's as you want for free and then we can talk about maybe just sending out CDs or something if it gets too crazy! So email me at whittenhm@gmail.com and let me know:)

Lily is teething like a mad woman!!! Her gums are turning white and she's gnawing on everrrrrything! So place your votes now!! Which tooth do you think she'll get first!?
Twenty-five Weeks Old!!
This was a pretty great week for Lily! Her Daddy came home from Nevada on Friday night and she got to spend 4 days straight with him! She also started drinking [water] from a sippy cup! I was kind of toying with the idea of starting her on one and then while we were at lunch over the weekend my friend Nichole suggested that I just start her after she saw the way she was reaching for our cups and drinking from our straws! So we made the leap later that night with her super cute cup that her Grandma Linda and Grandpa George bought her for Christmas! She took to it right away and is handling the cups very easily! She will pick it up off of the floor, out of our hands, off the table and put it right up to her mouth and go to town!! I was soooo proud!
She also had a few different veggies this week! She started squash and loved it and then went to carrots and loved those as well! She is eating a container a day and yesterday had one and a half before she finally let me know she was done! It was crazy!
She is a teething machine! She's just getting warmed up though... still no teeth! But it just gets more and more intense everyday! And her gums are turning white now too! I posted a little poll over on the left side of the screen. Go ahead and vote on which tooth you think she'll get first!! I thought it would be a fun little game to include everyone! [silly Heather!]
Any who. Thomas came to a photo shoot with me on Sunday to help out with Lily! It was so great to have them there! I would have missed Lily so much if they had stayed home! I took a few pictures of them before the family got to the park since we had some time to kill! They aren't that great because Lily was grumpy and Thomas was just plain silly! But I love the ones I got!
Lily figured out that she could move in her walker the other day! She has been pushing herself backwards in it for a while but never really paid any attention to it! But one day she just looked at me and laughed and pushed back and seemed so startled that she had moved closer to me and then did it again! It was so sweet! She just started to slowly move closer and closer to me with the proudest look on her face! [i love her]
