SORRY SO LATE!
What a big girl!!
It's been a tough week! We're both still fighting this cold. Her eye infection cleared up:) But she's starting to teeth so we have been having a good time with random tantrums:P But nothing a little tylenol and teething rings can't fix!
She's getting so big now. She doesn't even cry the same anymore! She lost her cute, soft baby cry and now she just wails!!! She is doing better on her tummy now and will hold her head up and look around the room. She still prefers to be standing or sitting up than laying down though. But I figure that's just as much of a work out for her as being on her tummy! So I think she's doing great!!

So we had to help her out a little!
She jumped for the first time and it surprised her!
But it sure was fun!

Thirteen Weeks Old!!
Well, our little girl has her first cold:(
And, I feel terrible about it! I know this stuff just happens and that it's not my fault but it is breaking my heart to see her like this:(
She has been congested for a while but it wasn't anything big. Nothing the saline drops and humidifier couldn't fix! But on Monday her nose started running and it was greeen! Then when we woke up on Tuesday her eyes were caked shut! I washed them and fed her and went back to sleep and when we woke up it was just as bad and they were goopie all day:( She was pretty uncomfortable all day but never had a fever so I just kept flushing out her nose and washing her eye gunk away! [and tons of extra snuggles] But this morning she woke up and wouldn't go back to sleep. She didn't want to eat either. She just cried. So I took her to the clinic! It took almost 2 hours to be seen by the ped. It was a little rediculous. But she finally went to sleep while we were waiting, poor thing!
The ped said she was fine except for a cold and an eye infection. She said her lungs and heart sounded great. She has a little bit of eczema too but I've just been putting Corona Utter Ointment on it and that has seemed to help when it flares up on her cheecks! [You should definately look into the utter ointment! I know it sounds crazy, but that stuff is magic! It works on everything... dry skin, cuts, diaper rashes, etc! Google it or find it on amazon.com it's well worth it!]
Lily is weighing 13 lbs still and is 24 inches long!!! The doctor prescribed some eye drops for the infection and told me to put warm compresses on them 4 times a day and to keep using the saline drops and suction bulb!
Lily is feeling a little better tonight. She is still obviously sick but seems to be a little happier:) Just keep her in your prayers!! It's really not that big of a deal... but I only want her to be happy and enjoy every single day she has in this world! I hate wasting a few on silly colds!!

Lily Pictures- 12 Weeks Old!
These aren't the usual 'snap shots' I usually post. Or atleast I hope you all think they are a little better than that lol! Since I was editing the pictures from my shoot I figured I would process these shots too! I really like them! I think the last 3 are a bit too harsh, but there is still something beautiful about them!! Lily is just so gorgeous!! I couldn't ask for a better model!:) Enjoy!!

Twelve Weeks Old!!
In what feels like a matter of days, months have flown by! And somehow, when I look at her I feel like we've lived a lifetime together all ready!
There is nothing more amazing then watching your little one grow! She is turning into her own little person! I see a little more of her personality everyday! She is so alert now and I can tell that she has so much going on in that curly head of hers.
Daddy came home from California on Sunday while Lily and I were driving back from Jacksonville! And we have been busy busy all week!
Lily had a doctor's appointment on Monday. She had some orange-pink spotting in her diaper 4 times the week before. I called the clinic on Friday and since the advice nurse wasn't there they went ahead and made me an appointment just to be safe! Everything is fine! Breastfed little girls can have periods and even lactate when they are born from all of their mother's hormones! I knew all of that but had never heard of it happening past the first few weeks of life! The doctor said not to change anything that I'm doing because she looks great!! And she weighs 13 pounds 3 ounces!!! I was guessing around 10 or 11 pounds lol!! She is just getting so big:)
Other than the appointment Thomas has been working and doing school work all week. And on Tuesday I took some pictures of a friend of mine and her 18 month old daughter!! It was my first time shooting someone outside of my family so I was pretty nervous but so excited to get some practice!! I've been editing the pictures non-stop since and am really proud of them!! I know I still have a ways to go but I think I'm getting the hang of it:)
Lily has been a trooper! She came to the shoot with me and chilled in her stroller the whole time! And she was been great swinging right next to me or sitting in her bumbo seat by mommy while I work! She is having some constipation though so she's needing lots of extra snuggles;)
Funny story about the swing... She's too heavy now! The poor little motor isn't strong enough to swing her back and forth anymore!! It just kind of rocks a little! I pretty much have to push it! well, that wasn't that funny and it wasn't really a story... but owell! Thought I would throw that in there!!
We've started Tummy time!! She gets 30 minutes on her tummy a day for right now! She doesn't do it all at once. I think the longest she's gone straight is 7 minutes Monday morning! But she doesn't hate it too much! And she's sleeping on her stomach in the morning and at naps [to help with the tummy aches] so I think that is helping it along too!
Oh, and the drool is getting a little crazy lol! I really don't want to say that she's teething yet because she's not chewing on toys or anything yet and she isn't too fussy or running a fever andddd it would break my heart to think that we're at that stage already!! But I think it could be coming soon! I did get a little excited today thinking about her getting her first tooth! It's amazing to see how much she has changed already and to think about what is still ahead for her!! But goodness I'm going to miss my tiny Lily bug!
OH MY... I almost forgot the most exciting thing of all!! She laughed for the first time the other night!!!! [[I bawled my eyes out lol]] I was sitting on the couch with her talking to her... we have little conversations now, I'll say something and she'll babble back and we just go back and forth for a few minutes! But this time she opened her mouth really big and half coughed half laughed at me! She looked just as surprised as I did! She cooed and giggled a little and then laughed again!!! Thomas just looked at me and we were both just shocked! And then I started crying and laughing! Thomas was like "Don't cry, make her laugh again!" But that was it!! I called my mom to see if Lily would laugh over the phone but no luck!! It's such a beautiful sound though!! That's what dreams are made of right there!!

Lily Pictures- 11 weeks old!
Ok! Here's a runaround for the pictures in this post! Last weekend Lily got to spend some time with some of her other grandparents, Thomas' Dad and Step mom! She also got to meet her cousins Lacy and Gabriel for the first time! They are Thomas' step-sister's sons! Lacy was excited about meeting her and we all had a good time trying to explain "step" and "in-law" to him! She also got to meet her Uncles Seth and Adam... Thomas' best friends! This picture was the first time Seth had ever held her and he was a little wary of her! But Adam is a pro and loves cuddling with her! Also, I left her "Baby's 1st Halloween" shirt in Fayetteville so when we got home Sunday I had to throw it on her and get some pictures for my mom! She never smiles when she;s in her bumbo seat... it's like she's too busy trying to figure it out lol! But after a few shots one of our black kitties ,Nina, came and curled up in the basket sitting right next to Lily! And what's a Halloween picture without a black kitty!?!?
There are some shots of Lily with Mommy and daddy! Daddy bought his little princess a $60 coat! And that was the frst time she got to wear it to go out shopping so he had to show it off!! And now Lily's favorite spot is curled up in my lap! She used to love to stretch out across my tummy but now she just snuggles into my legs after she gets done eating and sleeps there!! It's precious!
There are a few cute little spit bubble faces in her swing!! I had so much fun with her right then!! She was wide awake and sooo happy!! She was just talking my ear off while I was on the computer and making the biggest, wettest mess ever!!
And these last ones are of her grumpy, fussy, congested face!! I couldn't help but take pictures of her! It was breaking my heart but she was just soo darn cute!!

There are some shots of Lily with Mommy and daddy! Daddy bought his little princess a $60 coat! And that was the frst time she got to wear it to go out shopping so he had to show it off!! And now Lily's favorite spot is curled up in my lap! She used to love to stretch out across my tummy but now she just snuggles into my legs after she gets done eating and sleeps there!! It's precious!
