We are finally home from Jacksonville!
We had a very good visit with all of our family there!
We hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving... so we were well overdue!
Lily got tons of loving!... Too much loving to be honest! She is spoiled ROTTEN!!!
I have a BILLION pictures to get through, edit and post so please be patient with me! I want to share Lily's first christmas with everyone! But it's going to take a little time! SO I will try to post as I get through them so you all won't have to wait any longer:)
Tonight we are bringing in the new year with some friends from Thomas' squadron! I plan on starting the picture nightmare tomorrow! So come check out a few new pics tomorrow night:)

Lily Video
Videos take FORRREVERRRRR to load! I only have one loaded. It's not even the cute one... but I'm sick of sitting here waiting lol! I'll post one a day or something!
This video is from 15 weeks old I do believe! She was in love with her feet and her froggie! This was before she really talked much or could hold herself up on her own for very long! So... it's not too eventful lol! She does fall over a bit but she's just so cute! The newer videos are pretty exciting since she is really vocal and smilie! So hopfully I will have more patience tomorrow and get those up for you!

Seventeen Weeks Old!
Oh my goodness... I think she has grown up so much this week! It's like she's a completely different baby now!
Lily has taken some big steps this past week! She started sleeping in her crib at night. She started "eating" rice cereal. She is holding herself up perfectly. She is talking and talking and talking. She is reaching for toys and standing up holding on to our fingers for balance only!
I know some of those sound silly... but I was reading up on some milestones and hse has hit all of them for her age and some for the month ahead! So I was a very proud Momma! [I'm not usually one to read about those things bc I don't like the pressure! But it is always nice to peek every now and then just to be sure! lol]
Thomas wanted to watch a movie the other night but Lily was sleeping on the couch beside me. So I picked her up and layed her in her crib. I figured she could just sleep there since we weren't ready to go to bed and I didn't feel like dealing with the hassle of switching baby monitors just so she could sleep in our bed. Well once the movie was over I checked on her and she was doing great so I just went to bed without her! That was tough! I didn't sleep very well at all! When she woke up a few hours later I was soooo happy to have her in bed with me again! But... the next night I layed her in her crib for the night again and she has been sleeping through the night in her own room since! And i'm starting to sleep a little better! It's definately an adjustment... but it has been nice to just curl up with Thomas again!
Starting her on Cereal was interresting! I think I wrote a little last week about why we decided to start her on it. I'll post the video tomorrow. She didn't take too much of it and I wasn't sure if she had even swallowed any! It didn't help that RIGHT before I started feeding her she got the hiccups lol! But she's been doing better since! She gets some every morning. It's starting to go a little better. She opens her mouth more now and sucks on the spoon. But more cereal seems to get on her face than in her mouth still! I can tell she's actually getting some though because her poo has changed! She is just growing up so fast! I love it!
She talks sooo much now! She loves to talk to her toys and to me. She has been kind of stand offish to Thomas lately. But when she talks... she talks! It is so amazing! Just last week she was barely talking at all and now she is just so full of personality! And she loves to listen to music, or us singing to her, and sing along!
It has been a great week with her! And I know it's only getting better! I'll try and post some videos throughout the weekend so you can enjoy it all as well!

Lily Pictures- 17 Weeks
It didn't seem like I took a lot of pictures this week but, Oh My... I had sooo many! I have been stressing over these darn things for a few days now! It's a long story lol! I't almost 3:00 in the morning and I just finished editing these! I am going to post a lot since I left you all hanging for a few days and I probably won't be posting on time next week since I'll be at my parent's house for Christmas! PLEASE leave some comments on these! I worked for a long time tonight to get these up so comments would make it all worth it! I love hearing from you all!
I'll do Lily's 4 month shoot tomorrow and try to get those and some christmasie pictures up this weekend too before we head to Jacksonville! But no promises! Hopefully all of these will hold you all over for a while!

Sad Sad Day:(
We had to put Midnight to sleep today.
I have to say that it was the toughest decision I have ever made.
When it came right down to it, we knew we had to do it but I was selfish and couldn't imagine taking her life!
She has had a tumor for quite a while and it has just grown and grown. We took her to the vet after Thomas got home from Iraq and they said there really wasn't much we could do. Even if we did the surgery, which would entail removing ribs, she would probably die shortly after from the radiology. The cancer was just too aggressive. So we opted to let her live out her life with the cancer... never thinking it would all be over so soon!
I noticed a few weeks ago that she had started pulling the hair from the tumor -that now covered most of her chest and side. By Wednesday of last week I could tell that it was coming through her skin. We called the vet, Friday, for advice and they said there was no rush to put her down since she was still eating and drinking. [I was having to pick her up to her food bowl because she couldn't jump anymore.] But yesterday Thomas looked and the tumor had completely broke the skin and was just this gaping hole now. We knew Monday was going to be the day. But she didn't seem to be in any pain... she hasn't been laying on her left side for a while now but has never seemed unhappy.
We spent the morning taking some pictures and grooming her... just trying to let her know just how much we really loved her. And then we took her in. The whole process happened very quickly. I couldn't watch so I covered my eyes but held her head... and felt it go limp when she was gone. The vet was very comforting and assured us that we did all that we could do for her and that it was the right time to bring her in. It would have been a matter of days before she would have been suffering. So we were able to keep her from that. It was so hard for me to believe that she was just gone. She flinched a few times and opened her mouth [all just muscles reflexes] and that made it almost unbearable for me. If you know me whatsoever, you know how sensitive and emotional I can be... and I am just so glad I had Thomas standing there to hold me when My knees got weak.
She was a wonderful cat! I am so grateful to have had the time I did with her! She went far too soon... but she never deserved to suffer. She is in a better place. A place without cancer. And we are all the better for knowing her!

Sixteen Weeks Old!!
Sorry, This is a little later than I thought I would have these posted! But here we are! Our baby girl is SIXTEEN WEEKS OLD!! And she is thriving!! I am proud to say that we both survived our 12 days without Daddy being home! We are picking him up from the airport tomorrow night:)
Lily has had a pretty good week! She started napping in her crib during the day and is doing great spending some time on her own under her brand new play gym! I bought is as an early Christmas present since she wasn't too interrested in her tummy mats and I am so glad I did! She lays under it and it sings to her and she has a ton of rattles and mirrors and fun things to stare and grab at! Her eye-hand coordination has really improved too! She can hold something in her hand and stick it straight into her mouth! And, Boy, does she love sticking things in her mouth! She is knawing on everrrything now! I found a tooth [?] on Monday! I am still on the fence about it since no one else has been able to look at it and tell me one way or the other! It's an obvious, hard, white 'bump' breaking out of her top gums! It isn't the front tooth but the "eye" tooth! I could totally be wrong and will just have to wait to have someone else look at it and chime in! But it's pretty exciting nonetheless!
The Moby Wrap has been my saving grace! Some nights she was just so fussy from teething that the only way I could soothe her and get things done was to strap her to me! We've gone on a few walks this week too! She loves being outside! Today she just starred at the leaves on a bush for like 5 minutes:) I love spending that time with her... when she is so intensly interrested in something and so peaceful at the same time!!
We are going to start her on rice cereal this coming week! She has been eating like crazy during the day! She still sleeps through the night without fedding but those day time feeding are just so much! I started my period today [sorry... way tooo much information for some probably!] and her sleeping through her night feedings is more than likely the reason for that! So I have decided there is no reason not to start her on the cereal! We'll just start out a little in the morning to see how it goes and probably won't start her on any other kind of food for a while! But I am really excited about this new step:)

It's Our 3 Year Anniversary [Slide Shows]
Three years ago today Thomas and I committed our lives to each other in front of our family, our friends and our God! I am proud to say that this road has not always been easy. There have been trials along the way ranging from us having to adjust to sharing every second of your life with another person to dealing with being separated from each other for months at a time by Thomas' military deployments and then there are all of the issues we were faced with while we tried to grow our family and now the issues we are facing as a young military family!! But, through that all we stand together as a wonderfully blessed couple! I am thankful everyday for the man that God placed in my life 7 years ago! Even though we aren't always graceful in our love for each other... there is no doubt that it is there! The past three years have flown by. They have been full of new experiences and memories that we will cherish forever! And though I know that the next three years will fly by even faster, we are looking forward to spending them together! And we are so thankful that we get to spend this crazy beautiful life together!
