Seventeen Weeks Old!

Oh my goodness... I think she has grown up so much this week! It's like she's a completely different baby now!
Lily has taken some big steps this past week! She started sleeping in her crib at night. She started "eating" rice cereal. She is holding herself up perfectly. She is talking and talking and talking. She is reaching for toys and standing up holding on to our fingers for balance only!
I know some of those sound silly... but I was reading up on some milestones and hse has hit all of them for her age and some for the month ahead! So I was a very proud Momma! [I'm not usually one to read about those things bc I don't like the pressure! But it is always nice to peek every now and then just to be sure! lol]
Thomas wanted to watch a movie the other night but Lily was sleeping on the couch beside me. So I picked her up and layed her in her crib. I figured she could just sleep there since we weren't ready to go to bed and I didn't feel like dealing with the hassle of switching baby monitors just so she could sleep in our bed. Well once the movie was over I checked on her and she was doing great so I just went to bed without her! That was tough! I didn't sleep very well at all! When she woke up a few hours later I was soooo happy to have her in bed with me again! But... the next night I layed her in her crib for the night again and she has been sleeping through the night in her own room since! And i'm starting to sleep a little better! It's definately an adjustment... but it has been nice to just curl up with Thomas again!
Starting her on Cereal was interresting! I think I wrote a little last week about why we decided to start her on it. I'll post the video tomorrow. She didn't take too much of it and I wasn't sure if she had even swallowed any! It didn't help that RIGHT before I started feeding her she got the hiccups lol! But she's been doing better since! She gets some every morning. It's starting to go a little better. She opens her mouth more now and sucks on the spoon. But more cereal seems to get on her face than in her mouth still! I can tell she's actually getting some though because her poo has changed! She is just growing up so fast! I love it!
She talks sooo much now! She loves to talk to her toys and to me. She has been kind of stand offish to Thomas lately. But when she talks... she talks! It is so amazing! Just last week she was barely talking at all and now she is just so full of personality! And she loves to listen to music, or us singing to her, and sing along!
It has been a great week with her! And I know it's only getting better! I'll try and post some videos throughout the weekend so you can enjoy it all as well!
