Well, we survived! Thomas will be home some time tomorrow night! Lily has been great! There were a few nights I thought I was going to lose my mind! But being able to talk to Thomas really pulled me through! He gives me so much strength! I am scared to death of this next deployment but knowing that I'm in this with him, even if we are sooo far apart, I know that I will be able to do anything!
Anywho, I don't know why I went off in that direction... I guess I just really love my man today!!
Lily is pretty much at the point where she's not doing anything new, she's just perfecting the things she can already do! She has been rolling all over the place and sitting up like a pro! She's been a little lazy the past few days, when she bends down to pick up a toy she just stays bent over instead of sitting herself back up! But I wouldn't be surprised if she's crawling soon! She is starting to scoot backwards a little bit and she is pretty good at getting her knees up underneath her!
She is still teething like crazy but I'm not seeing/feeling any teeth yet! I'm pretty happy about that! It's going to be so hard to see my baby girl with teeth:( But I'm sure I'll be crying and posting about it in the next few weeks!
She moved on to Sweet Potatoes this week! She loves them:) She is getting better about eating with the spoon and she opens her mouth for the next bite! But she's still sticking her tongue out instead of keeping it in her mouth so that is still a little tough to get a full spoon in there! But she seems to be moving along really well with it! I'm starting to look into making her baby food myself. So I think we're going to get through the rest of the vegetables that I have here and then start making my own! I'm excited about it:)
She had her first "puff" at a friend's house last night!! Her son was eating his with dinner and she offered some to Lily! She really didn't know what to think of them but she did pretty good! she only had 2 and those were broken up into little pieces. She was cute though!
I don't know if I've talked about her walker yet, so I'll just do it now lol!
Our neighbors gave us their walker before they moved. I wasn't going to get one but since it was free I went for it! Lily loves it! She barely sits in her jumperroo anymore! She loves that she can just sit out in the middle of the room, eye-level with Rocco! She just laughs and laughs at him:) She isn't walking in it or anything. She can push herself backwards but that's not on purpose lol! She had a pretty rough day yesterday and didn't want to take a nap so I had to put her in her walker so I could get some things done around the house. I walked through the living room like 5 minutes later and she was passed out!! She was snoring a little too! It was so cute! She hasn't really played with any of the toys on it but the other night I was doing some dishes and heard this slamming noise so I peeked around the corner and she was trying to push the little Pooh bear down into his honey pot to make the music start! It took her a few times but she finally got it to sing and she looked so surprised and then proud! I love seeing those kinds of emotions in her! It really reminds me that she is a little person and she is going to grow into a beautiful woman someday! She's not just a cute little baby! I am just so blessed to be apart of her life! This is going to be an amazing journey!
