Fifty-two Weeks Old!

Oh, WOW! Here we are! My baby girl will be a year old tomorrow! It's nothing short of amazing!

This has been a great week! Lots of giggles and cuddles and memories!
She is becoming very confident in herself. She stands up without needing to pull herself up now. And she dances. And she shares everything with us! I love this stage! All I have to do is ask for something that she has [i.e. a pencil or the remote or a piece of trash that she isn't supposed to have] and she hands it right to me, no hesitation! She shares her food with us all the time! She force feeds Thomas! It's the cutest thing ever! And she cruises along the furniture and uses my rolling computer chair to get her across the room! She prefers to stand over sitting. [I remember when she preferred sitting to laying!] She has taken ONE step. But fell right away and hasn't done it since. But she is gaining the confidence! She stands up and shifts her weight from one foot to the other. You can see it in her face that she is thinking about taking a step but it just doesn't feel right yet! I'm sure she'll be one of the children that just stands up one day and everything clicks and then she'll take off! We are constantly holding our breathes and getting the other person's attention when she starts shifting her weight! We're so proud of her!
This is a big weekend for her! We'll be leaving in the morning to drive to Jacksonville to celebrate her first birthday! Tomorrow will just be family time. Maybe a little cupcake smash after dinner!?!? Then Friday we re borrowing a friend's studio for the morning to get some pictures of her in her birthday dress. Saturday night is her birthday cookout at my parent's house and then Sunday we are having family pictures taken and driving home! Look forward to tons of pictures!!
I can't wait to share it all with you all!

***EDITED***
Lily took 4 more steps tonight! We had our friends Adalynn and Patrick and their 2 kids over for dinner tonight!
Lily was standing up in the middle of the floor playing with her Daddy's car keys and leaned up against me when I stood behind her. So Adalynn asked Lily for the keys and she handed them right to her [such a good sharer:)]. Adalynn sat on the couch and held out the keys and called for Lily to come get them. Lily thought about it for a little while and shifted her weight a few times and then took the steps one after another to get to Adalynn and the keys:):):) She didn't give up. She didn't fall! She made it to her keys:) We were all so proud! I ran to get the camera and tried to get her to do it again but she wasn't a big fan of all the attention and just wanted to be left alone to play with her keys!
