MY DADDY'S HOME!!

Thomas came home from his third tour overseas two days ago!
He flew in with 5 other people around 9:30 that morning. There were a few delays. HE was supposed to be home on Thursday. But if you ask me, a 12 hour difference between original ETA and actual time of arrival is pretty amazing! So we were beyond excited when we got the call!

I, of course, came down with a head cold Thursday night. I was already up losing my mind about everything I still needed to get done around the house so I wasn't able to sleep. I decided to take some cold medicine so I would just go to sleep and then get up a little early to get everything done. Yea, not smart! I woke up an hour before he was supposed to land lol. So I got Lily dressed and she looked adorable and then I tried to throw myself together. I ended up putting my shirt on inside out and getting deodorant all over it so I just had to find something else to wear at the last second. I looked a little rough lol. Buttt we made it there in time!
It was so great to see him walk off of the bus. He smiled so big when he saw us. He walked right up to me and gave me a kiss and hugged us both and then held out his arms for Lily and she went right to him! I took a few little snap shots of them together and then we went in side for the debriefing, had some doughnuts and then went home.
Lily was wide awake for most of the day and in a great mood. She played so well with Thomas. She was a little weary of him for the first few hours but she started laughing with him and warmed up pretty fast!
All in all I say it was a great homecoming! We had all day together as a family and it all just fell back into place. Thomas and I have had a few "power struggles" over silly things but we're working it out lol. We went out to eat yesterday and bought Lily her new car seat and a baby gate. Now she's caged in and the dogs are caged out! It's really nice! Today we're going to get all the things we need to start making her birthday present. We decided to make her a toy chest and fill it with some toys and books for her birthday that is ONE MONTH AWAY! I can't believe it!
Anywho... I'm getting off track lol! Thomas is home! He is healthy and safe and wonderful! We are adjusting wonderfully! And Lily is just as in love with her Daddy as she was when he left!! I couldn't be more blessed:)
