It has been a long week!! But I am sooo thankful to my mom for coming and spending some time with us over the weekend anddd to my friends here! You ladies really have helped the time fly and I have enjoyed every second with you:)
So, My mom came down Friday night and staied through Saturday! It was a really relaxed visit. We laid around the house and pigged out on chips and candy and watched t.v.! It was really nice! Then we went to Wal-mart on Saturday and bought a bunch of stuff for Thomas' homecoming... things to make his sign and some other decorations for the front of the house! We made the sign that afternoon adn I am soo happy with it! It is the third sign we've had. I bought the first one and made the one from last year which was a borderline disater! So I was really proud of the one we made this year!! It was hard to have my mom leave. As much as I wanted to get back to Fayetteville and to be in my own space I realllly do miss having my family around us. Hopefully they will all come down in a week or two to visit us!
Oh, speaking of visits! Thomas and I decided that we are NOT going to be visiting Jacksonville on his block leave. With Lily just now getting settled back in here and with us trying to get her familiar with Thomas again, we decided that it would just be too troublesome for us to uproot again and go to Jacksonville for a week. SOOO, we are letting everyone [right now, in this blog] that you are MORE than welcomed to come visit us! Please just give us a few days to spend together as a family. But we would love nothing more than to have you come for a day or two to welcome Thomas home! We will be in Jacksonville for Lily's birthday next month. I am in the process [slow of course] of planning her birthday party. We will have the "big one" in Jacksonville probably the weekend of the 21st and then have a cookout here at our house for our friends here on her actual birthday [the 20th]. I planned on making invitations and sending those out in the next week or so. Please feel free to email me your address if you know that I don't have it so I can get an invite in the mail for you... we'd love to have you:)
Ok! Big news on Thomas' homecoming! He was supposed to be here today. Right now actually. But there was bad weather and the plane that was coming to pick them up had to turn around. Sooo... a bit of a delay but I got a call from him this morning and he was about to get on a plane! I recieved an update this afternoon confirming that at this point they are set to be home tomorrow morning! I am beyond excited! Life is flying by but I am so thankful to have gotten through another deployment. With all 3 of his tours he has been deployed a total of one year! I am so proud of him and his squadron. They make an enormous impact on our freedoms.
So, We are in the last leg. A little over 12 hours from now he SHOULD BE holding his baby girl again:):)
And, now back to Lily! This has been a crazy week for her. She had her 9 month check up [oops lol] on Monday. She is doing great. She's 50% for height and 30% for weight. She's started to even out and has lost some baby chunck since she's started crawling. She had a little inflamation in one ear and a sinus infection so she had to take some meds for a few days but it cleared up almost immediately! I was thankful for that! She is still loving being home. She pretty much has free reign of the front half of the house. she plays in the living room and both hallways and just has a ball! She has really started to pay attention to the TV when it's on. So I've started cutting back on the amount of time it's on and only have it on noggin now. She loves to listen to music. She sings and has started to "dance". She gets up on her knees and bounces and claps her hands:):) I love it!
She's also started liking purses! She started rummaging through my diaper bag the other day and slung the strap over her shoulder and tried to crawl away with it but it was too heavy! Now she has one that she plays with all the time! It's still amazing that she's old enough to comprhende things like that and mimic me! But I love that she is starting to show her personality and individuality and independence! She is an amazing baby girl and I feel so blessed to see her grow into the beautiful little girl I know she will be!
