Thirty-nine Weeks Old!

How is my daughter this old already!?
Every new day blows my mind! She is getting so big and changing so much! Although, Thomas saw pictures of her and doesn't think she's changed very much! Silly boy!
The weeks really are flying because of our busy schedules! I've been going to class, working at the church, editing, and sorting through Lily pictures for the blog! It's great! I hate being so busy but Lily is thriving here and I love that the time away from Thomas is as crippling as it has been in the past! I feel very reassured in my abilities to be a great mother and take care of "our home" [even though that means baby, dogs, bills, etc and not literally a home at the moment!] when Thomas is away!
Now with that being said, I still make mistakes! I can't be perfect! This morning Lily ate a leaf from a fake tree in my bedroom! She pulled it off while we were playing in bed this morning and I let her carry it with her when we got up and went to the front room to play! Mistake! We were sitting on the floor playing and watching tv... she was sitting in my lap holding the leaf and playing with her books. Then she gagged a little and coughed. I looked at her and her eyes were watering. Then she took a big gulp and swallowed something! I opened her mouth and it was empty! I looked around to see what she could have gotten ahold of... she was sitting in my lap so I thought it was probably a piece of one of her cardboard books since she has so many teeth now. But the leaf was gone! I hopped up and looked all over the ground and in her clothes... I traced my steps back into our room... it was no where to be found! She swallowed it!!!! I called my mom. She told me to call the Naval Hospital. They wouldn't talk to me since I'm not from here. I called Womack. They told me to call Poison Control. After almost 20 minutes of phone calls the operator at NCPC told me that she would be fine! There is nothing toxic about silk plants... nothing is going to leech out into her system! The biggest hazard was chocking and we didn't have an issue there! She ate lunch like normal and has been drinking her water from her cup on her own ever since! She should pass the leaf in a few days. It should come out the same way it went in except it will probably be discolored and crumpled up!
I felt like such a fool for letting her play with that leaf. I should have taken it away as soon as she grabbed it. But I never thought she would swallow it! Lesson learned! And THANK GOD she is ok!
On a more exciting note! ...LILY IS CRAWLING!! I mean hands and knees, across the room crawling! She mastered it yesterday! I took video of her in the morning and then a few more last night and you can see her improvement in each video! I am sooo proud of her! And you can tell she is very proud herself!
She is also pulling herself up on anything and everything! But she gets so excited once she stands up that she lets go and falls down! She tries to stand up in the middle of the floor too! She crawls and then pushes her butt up in the air like she's determined to get up right there and walk off but can't quite do it! It's really cute!
She is really into the Animal Planet the last few days too! Just like her momma! I was a discovery channel addict when I was a kid! I loved learning about animals so it's exciting to see Lily engrossed in Big Cat Diary in the mornings! She watched a leopard chase a gazelle today and I swear she screamed [in joy] when he caught him! I think the music is really captivating for her too! She sings and sings while she's watching! I would rather watch that than Noggin any day!
She's pushing 3 teeth right now. The other top front tooth and the two side teeth on the bottom. I think the top one is close to cutting but it looks like the bottoms might take their time! She is doing pretty good considering this is the first time she's pushed this many at a time! But they are still bothering her a little! Nothing her spoona nd some orajel can't fix:)
I AM GOING TO HAVE THE BLOG UPDATED BY THE END OF THE MONTH! You CAN count on that!
